As a fully volunteer‑powered nonprofit, we rely on people who care about building joyful, inclusive support for the limb loss & limb difference community. Our opportunities are flexible, mostly virtual, and shaped around your strengths. Whether you have five minutes or five hours, your contribution matters.

Ways to Get Involved

We’re always looking for volunteers who want to support our programs, events, and community outreach. Some of our ongoing opportunities include:

  • Packing goodie bags for events

  • Helping organize or distribute lunch at meet‑ups

  • Photography or videography

  • Event support (set‑up, check‑in, logistics)

  • Sharing resources with hospitals, clinics, and community partners

  • Behind‑the‑scenes support for programs like Hugs in a Box

  • Offering professional skills (design, marketing, writing, etc.)

Volunteer Interest Form

Volunteer Leadership & Board Opportunities

For those interested in deeper involvement, we offer volunteer leadership and board roles that help guide the direction and sustainability of our organization. These positions are ideal for individuals who enjoy collaboration, organization, and community impact.

Open Board Positions

Secretary
The Secretary helps keep our board organized, informed, and running smoothly.
Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and distributing meeting agendas

  • Taking and sharing board meeting minutes

  • Tracking time during meetings to support effective time management

  • Maintaining records and inventory

  • Submitting supply requests (approved by the Treasurer)

If you’re detail‑oriented and love organization, this is a meaningful way to support our mission.

Treasurer (bookkeeping/financial management experience required)
Responsibilities include:

  • Tracking incoming grants and donations

  • Reporting current financial standing at board meetings

  • Declaring budgets for programs and events

  • Reviewing and approving receipts, expenses, and reimbursements

Additional Volunteer Leadership Roles

Ethics & Compliance (experience required)

Provides oversight and guidance to ensure ethical, transparent, and compliant operations.

Education & Outreach

  • Leads outreach to hospitals, clinics, and community partners

  • Shares our mission and resources

  • Supports and manages the Education & Outreach Committee


Fundraising

  • Leads fundraising strategy and campaigns

  • Supports and manages the Fundraising Committee

  • Collaborates with the Chair/Director of Events


Special Programs

  • Oversees program development and execution

  • Supports and manages the Special Programs Committee

Events Planning

  • Leads community and fundraising events

  • Collaborates with the Chair/Director of Fundraising

  • Supports and manages the Events Committee


Public Relations & Media

Oversees PR, media outreach, and marketing strategy.

Grant Writing

Supports grant research, writing, and reporting.
